Soul Care Sunday.... Long walks, warm baths, and massages.

The pups had their own Soul Care Sunday. Although quite humid, we did a long walk at Tanglewood Park, a beautiful expanse of trees and fields. Emmy, in particular, loves going there so I made sure my 13 1/2 year old spring chicken got her choice. After getting a few things done in the yard, they got baths followed by my own warm salt bath-- pure heaven. Their joyful antics post bath time always make me smile. Munay does "looney laps" around the house at full speed and Emmy goes directly to the treat cabinet, knowing I give them a snack for being so cooperative. I'm not sure if she likes the treat more or the time I spend brushing her after, but I love giving her the TLC since she's so dedicated to keeping an eye on me whenever she can. Both girls got massaged as part of their spa day and I used my massage chair pad to loosen up some tight neck muscles.

Munay waited patiently as I mended her chameleon toy and was overjoyed that it miraculously reappeared after keeping it out of reach. However, after a few throws she managed to tear another seam so the sewing basket camp right back out. All is well again.

My last major task of cleaning out rooms was my meditation room book shelves. I thought it would take as long as my other shelves but I quickly realized it was a no brainer to keep nearly all of them since the books dated back to very early in my own spiritual journey. Other than letting go of double copies of a few books, everything pretty much stayed in place.

I joked with a friend last week that although I'm giving her a few items I'm ready to release, I'm keeping all of my stones. 😁 Some items just aren't leaving. 🤗

There's something liberating about getting rid of old stuff. While there's more to do, I feel gratified with knowing I'm lightening my load.
